Baking has been a passion of mine since a very young age. My Nan and my Mum baked and I started to as soon as I was old enough. As a teenager, I would 'stress bake' when I had a bad day at school. It soon became a family joke! It was only as I got older I realised it was something I turned to when I was happy and sad. It has always been my 'go-to'. It's why I love my job. Teaching myself has allowed me to create my own designs, put together my own creations and use a lot of inspiration from holidays, friends, family & our amazing customers.
Coming from a sporting profession baking was a drastic change in career path. During the last few years playing football, I would constantly be cooking and baking in my spare time. Once Chloe and I got married the transition to Get Caked just came naturally, the enjoyment of baking has grown and grown. Developing Get Caked as a brand has been our main objective over the last 2 years, and I can’t wait to see where we can take it!
At Get Caked Bake House we never forget how valuable our staff are. Experienced bakers to delivery drivers, our team are the foundation to a successful happy business
I’m a friendly, light hearted person. I’m easy to get along with, and love to have a laugh. I’m currently studying a catering course in college, as part of my apprenticeship with Get Caked. I’ve always enjoyed baking with my sisters (one of which is Chloe) and mother since I was little. Baking has always been a love of mine.
I’ve been involved with baking for most of my life. I studied hospitality in comprehensive school, This is where my enjoyment of baking and cooking began. This new found passion for baking lead to making the
odd cake here and there, as well as a few meals for the family. During my GCSE’s I became aware of an opportunity to start an apprenticeship with Get Caked, I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. This has further improved my skills in the workplace and my knowledge of baking.
I am a dedicated, creative person who loves to bake! Is there anything better than the smell of baking? I have been in the hospitality industry for 8 years to date, I have learnt so much over the years and gained many qualifications that have helped me along the way. I love how creative Get Caked are and how they create something new for every occasion. I am so happy to be working with a great group of people.
I have always been a creative person and my passion for baking and cake decorating started when I chose catering as an option in comprehensive school. I was asked to make a 3D cake, it was a challenge, but I really enjoyed it, so continued it through to A Level and have been a hobby baker ever since, making treats for friends and family. The creative side of me meant I always spent more time decorating and making them look pretty. I really enjoy working with fondant and making toppers from non edible polymer clay and look forward to developing my skills further along side the team at Get Caked!
I started baking at a young age with my mother and continued to do so throughout my school years. This led to me studying an A level 1-3 in Bakery qualification at Neath college, along side my level 1 & 2 cake decoration course. I'm currently studying for my BA degree in Hospitality Management and the Culinary Arts. When the opportunity came to be a part of the Get Caked team, I had to jump at it!
